This project was developed in Ivry-sur-Seine, France, specifically within the renowned Jean Renaudie complex. This ambitious project entailed the creation of two distinct apartments. One of these apartments was meticulously constructed at a 1:20 scale model, including the careful crafting of several furniture elements to truly bring the design to life. The primary objective of this project was to enhance the interiors of the apartments by focusing on the often challenging architectural feature of acute angles. Instead of viewing these angles as potential weaknesses, the design aimed to transform them into the strongest and most striking elements of the space. The Jean Renaudie complex, with its unique and innovative architectural approach, provided an ideal canvas for this project. By embracing the angular geometry and utilizing it to create dynamic and functional living spaces, the design not only honored Renaudie’s vision but also pushed the boundaries of modern interior design. The acute angles were cleverly integrated into the layout, offering opportunities for creative storage solutions, unique furniture placements, and visually captivating interior compositions. This project underscores the importance of rethinking conventional design challenges and turning them into opportunities for innovation. The 1:20 scale model serves as a testament to the meticulous planning and attention to detail that went into realizing this vision, showcasing how even the most unconventional spaces can be transformed into harmonious and aesthetically pleasing environments.
